Cricket Barrazotto’s photography is being used to generate interest and funding for God’s Economy. Mrs. Barrazotto, co-founder and Executive Director of God’s Economy, has been traveling to Africa since 2001. Through her many trips abroad, she has developed relationships with individuals and organizations in Malawi, Kenya, and South Africa. When given access to the lives of her African friends, Cricket takes pictures. Her pictures capture the heart and soul of Africa.

Her photo exhibitions have been displayed at Grace Fellowship Church, Central Presbyterian Church, Lutheran World Relief, University Baptist Church, and the Jacques Initiative, an HIV/AIDS clinic at the University of Maryland Institute of Virology. Her work was also showcased at the 2008 Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s World AIDS Day Memorial at the Lyric Theater in Baltimore.

In October 2009 Cricket received a citation from the Governor of Maryland for her collaboration on “A Diary of Journeys, Volume III”, an anthology of poetry and prose funded by the Center for Disease Control and the Maryland AIDS Administration.

Cricket was one of 55 photographers selected in a regional competition across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC to display their work at FLASH DC in the spring of 2011.

In October 2013, Cricket completed and published the book, “Life Don’t Have To End.” a compilation of stories and photographic images from men and women living with HIV.
